Hello everyone this is Thereasa. Some of you already know, but I thought I would update you on Mom. I got a call this afternoon from Dad. Mom had a real bad seizer today, Dad says the worst she has ever had. I won't go into all the details, but Mom's resting and not really coherent right now. Dad's pretty upset and worried. So please, please keep them in your prayers tonight. As for now Dad and Mom are staying up at the cabin. Carey went up there this afternoon and is staying the night. Hopefully we will have a better update for you tomorrow. If not please be patient with us, we will update you as soon as we can. Again please keep them in your prayers and have a good night. ~Thereasa

Where Are they Now???

Hey everyone it's Carey, I've had some people asking for updates so I thought I would jump on here and say this...I really don't know HA HA HA.....Mom and Dad have been hanging out at the cabin. I do talk to him on the phone (he has no cell service) But haven't really gotten and "update" on Mom. I was up there with them over the weekend helping with the Idaho Rally event and I do know on Sat night Mom had a rough night but the next morning seemed to be better so Dad and I came to the conclusion that she just had a little bit of heat exhaustion. I think he mentioned she had a pain pill around 1 yesterday but that was all until this morning she asked for another. Dad hates giving her the pills because we think that when she takes the pills, she goes to her "wacko" place. apparently she asked Dad this morning why in the heck did he let the darn cats in! They haven't had cats for a number of years lol. So anyway sorry for the lack of updates and details. I'm pretty sure Dad is heading back to Weiser on Thursday so maybe he will have a better update for you then.

Who's cheating on who?

Dad called this afternoon to have me let you all know how Mom is. Mom continued with out pain pills til 3 am this morning. I guess she woke up with her feet tingling and hurting. And I guess that's not all she woke up with...lol. I guess she was real ticked off at Dad and accusing him of cheating on her and not being strong enough to wait till she was all better. This of course blew Dad away. Then she told Dad she was cheating on him. Dad asked her with who. and I guess she replied" a friend". Well I guess the rest of the day was better and just in case your confused... NO ONE IS CHEATING. He said she stayed mad for quite a while, yelling at him to shut the %#@$ door and something about not wanting the dog in her bed. Poor Dad. Anyways, Dad says they are planning on staying the night at Grandpas cabin tonight and I hope they get a good nights sleep. I'll post again with any news that I get sent my way. Have a good night everyone. ~ Thereasa

I am back

My turn!!! Thanks to the kids for keeping you up to date a bit. So here is the real deal as they say.
Carol has told us that she believes that Patsy is on the mend. She believes that the parasites and virus that caused the brain problems is gone. She believes, if I understand her correctly, that there is damage that will have to heal, but that process is yet to come.
Aluminum poisoning now seems to be the big problem that she is dealing with. Patsy had an issue with it a while back and we thought we had cleared it up. It appears to be back. The biggest problem is that our home is wrapped in it. That is why we are not living in the rv right now. Carol said to get out of the rv for a while and to get rid of everything that has aluminum in it. Toothpaste, deodorant, and even cookware have a lot of aluminum in them. HOLY SMELLY !!! So Carol has Patsy on an aluminum cleaner again. this is a twelve day process and we go back for evaluation to see where we are at.
So, back to our home. As you all know, when we moved in the bus, it wasn't finished. I now think that I added to Patsys problem by doing that. We got the living room done but when we got moved in, the bedroom was not done. We stripped away all the aluminum that was inside but I didn't get the insulation and paneling up in the back part of the bus. Patsy lived back there because she didn't feel good. She would lay back there with the aluminum ceiling exposed and when the heat would beat on the outside, I think it got bad. Add the fact that we had no windows in the back, it was hard to get any venting of the aluminum and that could have been a big factor. So we have moved out of the rv and we are trying to clear Patsy of the aluminum. We will be doing some camping and radio events and staying at Dads cabin until we get back from Ride Idaho. That will be in the middle of August. We also have insulated the back of the rv and put the bedroom windows in. We also have a new plan to wrap the inside with another layer of paneling and sealant.
Bottom line??? I have a wife that has a bunch wrong with her, I am unable to work because I need to be here for her, and now I appear to be homeless and I don't think we can rent a house on $671.00 per month.
Best case scenario!!! Patsy will get rid of the aluminum, the damage in her head will begin to heal, we will be able to get the rv under control so that it doesn't affect her, and we will continue with our dream.
Worst case ???? All of this is wishful thinking.
So how is Patsy tonight. I think better. Symptoms of aluminum poising are chronic pain. In my mind, that is her number one problem now. I always wondered why she was always having such bad pain when CJD disease never talked about the pain much. Norco takes care of the pain most of the time but makes her wacko. I think she is eating better, she is up more, and her mind seems to be better when not screwed up by the meds. Today, she got dressed and sat up front with me on our way back from silver creek. It was wonderful. Some articles that I have read about the aluminum, say that getting rid of it might effect things. I hope that is where we are right now.
The one thing that has gotten bad is that she has lost a little bit of body function when it comes to going to the bathroom. Thank goodness for Depends. But again, I blame some of that on the norco and some on the fact that we were in the mountains and it was darn cold the last couple of nights.
Holy holdit. If I had a Depends on, I probably would have stayed in bed too.
I have learned to take it one day at a time and you all should know that we are fine and dealing with what ever comes. Keep up the prayers, RAZ

P.S. She loves her puppy. Another test of my love for her??????

Moms Silver Creek Update

Hello everyone, Thereasa here. Sorry I didn't post right when we got back from Silver Creek, it's taking me forever to get unpacked. I thought it would be easier to just tell you what happened each day we were up there and then Dads update last night. So here it goes.
Fri. July 9th: Marty and I headed up to SC after noon and on the way we had to pick up Moms new med. at Carols. Then we were off. Mom wasn't doing so good when we got there. She was confused and didn't really know where she was. I guess she was still thinking she was at my house, because she wanted to go put something in the bus and when Dad told her the bus wasn't here she got even more confused and thought it was on commercial street where they lived before our house. So we decided to start Mom right away on the meds. we brought up. Right before bed though she seemed a little better. Marty was throwing a stick for the big dogs and we were all laughing at the new puppy trying to get in the way of the fun ( By the way the puppy has now been named Captain Jack or Logan calls him Captain Crunch). Well Dad told Mom she was missing all the fun and so Mom stuck her head out of the van door and started to watch. She was laughing right away and just enjoying her silly pups antics. It was great to see! After that we all headed for bed. Dad put the pup in the kennel, but he started to whimper so he had to let him out and into his bed. ha ha. By the time I went to bed Mom, Dad, and 2 dogs were all in bed in the van. I think they are going to need a bigger van! Sat. July 10th: We woke up to rain , but it soon cleared up. Mom was better , she knew where she was. In fact other than pain, Mom had a great day! She was out of her bed more than I've seen her in a long while. Grandpa and Grandma Kathy came up for visit and Mom stayed up for their whole visit. That's an accomplishment! She had a good breakfast, but didn't eat a lot at lunch, but by dinner she was eating better again. And no Carey we didn't ruin our 4 wheeler tire on purpose! Those things are expensive to replace, but if you want to blame any one it was LynnZ (my daughter) who was driving it when she ran over a bolt , that I blame SC endless construction on. It was a bummer deal because now we had to start walking to the potty. lol. Oh well. Sun. July 11th: We woke up to sun shine thank goodness! Dad cooked breakfast. I went to see what Mom wanted for breakfast and she blew me away! Now normally we have to list breakfast options to Mom and it takes a good while to know what she really wants. She usually has a hard time trying to figure out what she wants and how to tell us. Not today! You would have thought I was her waitress, she just pops right up and gave me her order. I want " 1 scrambled egg, 1 bacon (she had 2) hash browns, make them crispy, and 1 toast. Holy Cow! I couldn't believe it. Then she yelled at me because I forgot to put jam on her toast! It was great to see her so alert and knowing what she wanted. Marty and I packed up our stuff and we decided to take the long way home ( we really took a looooong way home, if you want I can tell you about later). We would fish along they way down from SC. Dad and Mom decided to follow a while to go fishing too. When we would stop Dad, Marty and the kids would get out and fish and I stayed with Mom. We talked and part of the time she was sitting up looking out the window looking for herbs. Now most of this seems not a big deal to most, but if you have spent any time with Mom lately you'd know she spends a lot of time in bed. It was great to see her up and participating in life again. And that silly puppy keeps her busy and happy. I'm sure Captain Jack helps just as much as the new meds. shes on. Mom started getting some pain and so they headed back to camp for lunch and a nap. We headed home. Mon. July 12th: It's real hard to talk to Dad over the radio, but he did say to tell you all that Mom was doing great in fact " Better then I've seen her in a long while" was what he said. I'll post again as soon as he calls again with an up date. Hope all is well with everyone.
