She like to get a bath!!!!

Patsy is certainly a study in progress. The last couple of nights I have gone to bed wondering what i would awake to. Unable to wake her or get her to respond to me when I try to talk to her. But, in the mornings, she is always there and with a good smile and a kiss. I have to feed her about 50% of the time with a syringe but I am still getting her to eat. She is holding her weight better but still not putting much on. I see she wants to talk but just not able. Maybe she just wants to keep me on my toes.
The new bath gal came by today and I thinks she is going to work out great. I left patsy with her and went to Bi-Mart and then up to Manns creek and back for a little drive. what a beautiful day.
I am working on getting my teeth fixed and tomorrow I have another dentist appointment. It is going to cost way more then I can afford but I have asked the kids to help because I need to be able to take care of Patsy without dealing with the pain. tomorrow I am having the Bottom teeth fixed with two fillings and then the partial will be all that I have left on the bottom. It is going to cost $508.00 tomorrow which I have after they put the disability money in the bank. How I am going to pay the bills that are due is yet to be determined. Cary says to get it done and we will get the bills paid. I don't know what I would do with out them. I talk to her all the time on skype and she probably gets tired of me calling but I need to vent once in a while.
So. Patsy is clean, smells good, looks good, and is ready for something to eat, Again!!!!!
Lucile brought over some potato soup yesterday. We are going to give that ago. Thanks Lucille for the visits and the soup. Okay, gotta run, thanks for being there, RAZ

I need to see the sun!!!

Well, we were going to give Patsy a nursing home bath today but my schedule got screwed up and patsy did not seem to feel all the good so we canceled.
I am not sure that I will ever get used to looking over from time to time and checking to see if my wife is still breathing. I don't even think I can get used to shaking my wife from time to time just to try to get her to wake up. It is hard enough to figure out what to cook and feed Patsy and how to do it with a syringe and yet it is a job that I GET to do.
Patsy made me promise her that I would be the one to take care of her and I would not have it any other way, but sometimes she makes it pretty hard.
So, when Patsy does give me one of her great smiles or tries to talk to me, or even a kiss, it sure make the world go around just a little bit better. So we keep traveling a day at a time and I am sure glad you are along for the ride. EAZ

I like it like this.

Today was probably the best day that I have had with Patsy in weeks. I woke up at 6:30 and looked over and she was awake already. She was listening to the music I had on tv. Her eyes were clear and her smile was great!!! I said "HI BABY" and she said it back to me. HOLLY MOLLY!!! What a way to start the day. I had to leave and do a dentist visit. She sat in her chair today and just really did pretty good. I still sleep in the chair at night so that I can hear her and make sure she is okay, but with the new chair for her, I am cramped. I am going to have to do something different.
As long as she keeps getting better, I am happy no matter where I have to sleep.
See You tomorrow, RAZ

Looking good

Here is a quick post!!! Patsy trying to drink her own boost!!!

How much salt?????

Patsy had a good day today. The last two days she spent mostly asleep. I called Carol and she had me give her some stuff and today she was awake most of the day. She ate everything I gave her and she finished it off tonight with another bowl of ice cream. I sometimes get pretty down and I think I am not doing enough. But, days like today make me feel better. I have been doing a pretty good job of turning Patsy and stopping any bedsores from coming back.
I have done something to my ankle. HOLY CRAP IT HURTS!!! I was hurting really bad today and I was not feeling very good so I thought it must be a good day to make some calls and get some answers as to why I have not got Patsys new wheel chair yet. I wished I had hurt my ankle 2 weeks ago!!!
Patsy was sitting in her new chair before 5:00 today. I told you I was hurting, not a good time for them to hear from me.
I have been baking bread again. To buy a loaf of bread that I can stand to eat is 3 to 4 dollars a loaf. So, about a week ago, I decided to get busy and learn to make bread again. Do you know there is a difference between 2 tsb of salt and 2 tbl of salt?????????????? that loaf of bread went in the garbage!!! after about three loafs, I finally got it figured out. I love the smell of bread.
Ok, I am off to bed. I have a dental appointment in the morning that I can now keep because I have had a little help from the family and friends. Keep riding along with us RAZ

Patsy with her newest granddaughter!!!

Doing better today

I went to Bi-mart yesterday. I decided to look for a t-shirt for Patsy. She has been wearing a bunch of shirts that she has had from different events that we have done. most of them are large and they are to big for her. I didn't mind using them because I have been known to spill on her when I am feeding her.Yes I use a bib on her, but that doesn't mean when I give her a drink or something that I don't make a mess.
Anyway, I found some cute spring shirts that were on sale for $4.99 each and I bought 2. They are cute and I put one on her last night.
I was cleaning Patsy the other day and I noticed that her tail bone seemed to be out of line a bit. I thought maybe it was just the way she was sitting. Carol called yesterday morning and guess what she said. Yup, we need to adjust her tail bone. Amazing!!!!. So I got Pat ready and we went to Emmett. After a work out by carol and a ride home, she was pretty worn out when we got back.
I got her fed and ready for bed and we watched a little tv.
I woke her at 8:00 to see how she was doing today. I got a big smile and that makes my day. She tries to talk and if she ever gets to that point, I may be in trouble. It would be nice if it could be controlled with a switch.
We had pancakes and she drank a boost for breakfast. She didn't eat a lot but I will feed her again soon. She went back to sleep. I guess that means I should get dressed and get some work done. Thanks for riding along, raz
